A fun dinner that skips the blood sugar spikes of flour tortillas.

Why it works: Lettuce wraps keep carbs ultra-low; turkey filling adds protein and fat. Clients can add avocado for more balance.

Ingredients (4 servings) :

  • 1 lb ground turkey

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tsp chili powder

  • 1 tsp cumin

  • 1 clove garlic, minced

  • 1 cup diced tomatoes

  • 8-10 large lettuce leaves (romaine or butter)

  • Toppings: shredded cheese, avocado slices, salsa

Directions :

  1. Heat olive oil in skillet. Cook turkey with garlic until browned. Add spices and tomatoes; simmer 5-7 min.

  2. Wash and pat lettuce leaves dry.

  3. Spoon turkey mixture into lettuce “shells” and top with cheese, avocado, or salsa.
