Labour-Aid (Homemade Electrolyte Drink)
A refreshing, hydrating take on lemonade to keep energy and electrolytes balanced during labour.
Ingredients :
2 cups strong brewed raspberry leaf tea (cooled)
2 cups coconut water
2 tbsp lemon juice (fresh if possible)
1-2 tbsp honey or maple syrup (to taste)
1/4 tsp sea salt
Optional: 1 tbsp magnesium citrate powder (if approved by care provider)
Directions :
Brew raspberry leaf tea and let cool completely.
Mix all ingredients together in a large pitcher or mason jar
Chill in fridge until ready to use, or pour into a water bottle to take to the hospital
Tip: Sip small amounts often during labour to stay hydrated without overwhelming your stomach.
